TRAIN AND GET A BETTER RELATIONSHIP

Through everyday training, you also raise the dog to become the family member you want. It can be about quick simple exercises at home or something you train on the dog walk. Together, you two can make your common dog life into something really good with a harmonious dog and safe owner.

Other benefits of training the doggy a little now and then is that it improves the relationship and communication between you. This enrichment that satisfies the dog's innate behaviors such as sniffing, playing, eating, hunting and being part of the herd is something you can always work with. So with imagination and lots of dog candy, almost the whole world can be a training place and provide an opportunity to train cooperation.

SUGGESTIONS FOR SIMPLE EVERYDAY EXERCISES

There is a lot you can train at home or in an outdoor environment nearby, or maybe when you are out for a walk. Here is a list of some things you can easily do to activate your dog.

- Teach your dog a beautiful paw or high five. Requires no equipment, just the dog, you and candy. There are many more simple things to learn the doggy - to sniff in your hand, lie on your side and bark on command.

- Balance exercises. You can use different balance balls, but it is also possible to train balance on a stool, a stone or a park bench. Can be varied in degree of difficulty by balancing on narrower, more unstable surfaces. Do you want to expand your training? Practice stopping by leaving the dog on the object and walking a few meters away.

- Treat hide. Most dogs like to use their noses. Here is a fun exercise that works just as well both outside and inside. Hide on a tree trunk or in the handle of a drawer. Also trains the dog to sit and wait his turn. Remember to hide at different heights so that the dog sometimes has to stand on its hind legs to reach.

- Lay a pot holder on the floor and teach the dog to step on it with its front legs. Trained with advantage with clicks. Once the doggy has learned that, you can vary by moving the pad further away to another height or perhaps by teaching the dog to step on its hind legs on the pad.

- Teach the dog to back off. Start with a step back and then develop further to back up on a sofa or up a flight of stairs. A workout that provides good body control.

MORE THINGS FOR EASY TRAINING

- Deviate from the path when you are out and about. Let the dog walk on uneven ground. Jump over and crawl under, balance on. The dog is made to move. And honestly, we humans are too, aren't we? A dog that is allowed to be active and physically is more easily satisfied when you then come home.

- Round a tree or chair. How nice to be able to when the connected dog and you end up on either side of a lamppost.

- Passivity training. Dogs must be able to relax in different environments and almost all dogs need to learn that, being passive does not come naturally. This means that the doggie is calm and does nothing. A beginner's tip is to train passivity when the dog is tired, such as after a workout or walk. And start training in an environment that does not tempt too much. After a while, you can then choose to train in a more active environment.

- Hiding on the promenade. When the dog is loose, hide. In addition to the doggy will like to look for and find you, it is also a good way to teach the dog to keep an eye on you. Or why not hide a toy and let the dog find it.

- Some things really do not require much of you as the owner, but can give the dog a lot of brain exercise and stimulation. Here are suggestions for some simple things that will enrich your dog, without you having to get involved. Great when everyday life is calling at the same time as the doggie wants to invent something.

EVEN MORE EASY ACTIVITY

- Throw the dog food on the lawn and let the dog use his nose to find his dinner. As a more fun and stimulating way to eat.

- Put some treat under an upside-down plastic box. To access the goodie, the dog must lift the box. Scratch game. Put something rattling in the dog's food bowl, maybe a few spoons or screws. Then refill with food. It takes a little courage for the dog to dare to eat out the bowl when it sounds and the things inside move and have a different consistency. Remember not to have small pieces of junk, so that the doggie happens to eat it.

- There are also a lot of activation toys that can give your dog some mental training. Like a dog puzzle from Pawzler or some activity game.
