Of course the dog should lie soft and warm, nice, cool, big, crowded and lovely when it is resting. But what your dog thinks is just that, it is highly individual. We believe that the majority of doggies need a corner where it can relax and let go of the outside world. A place where the dog can be alone and be left alone. And so that both the dog and everyone else in the family will know that the doggie wants to be alone, a dog bed can be good to have. It is a clear sign that the dog wants to rest.
So a bed is not just for the doggy to lie comfortably, it is at least as much about everyone else knowing that the dog wants to rest. If then that dog bed is pink, round or fluffy, it may not matter as much. Only the dog likes to lie there and that the whole family accepts that the dog wants to be left alone.
