TREAT POCKETS FOR DOG

Dog toys where you can hide treats are a lot of fun—both for the dog and for us humans. There are also various reasons why treats should be hidden. Sometimes treat-hiding toys are used as rewards during agility training, obedience training, or perhaps rally obedience. Other times, they’re used as a mental stimulation activity or maybe as a fun and unique way to feed your dog.

The clear favorites in our lineup are the lotus balls from PawsPocket; they’re sometimes called tulip balls, and they certainly do look like flower balls. They have three “petals” that hide the dog treat. There are several different PawsPocket toys, with and without handles, and with or without rabbit or sheepskin. 

Another type of treat toy that really makes the dog think is, of course, Nina Ottosson’s line—what’s known as a “dog puzzle.” This includes a variety of challenging enrichment toys that make the dog work to get the treat. Fun and challenging.
