LOTUS BALL FROM DOGGIE-ZEN

  • Candy hiding and dog toy in one
  • With loop for those who want to attach string
  • From Sweden
Combining toys and treats is a good and effective way to get the dog extra engaged. And great to have when you want to give the doggy an external reward instead of the doggy coming to you for treats. Perhaps this is why treat hides are valued ways to reward the dog when training both agility and obedience. Dear child has many names, and balls that have a treat hiding place are sometimes called lotus ball, tulip ball or simply reward ball. Regardless of the name, it is a popular way to reward the doggy. This reward ball comes from the Swedish company Doggie-Zen. The outside consists of soft velboa, a very short-haired patterned faux fur and a colorful edging. The inside is made of water-repellent material, which makes it easier to clean. The toy looks like a three-petaled flower. Each flower petal can be unfolded and in the middle you place the candy. The flower petals are then brought together and attached to each other with Velcro. And then the candy toy is ready to use. To get the treat, your dog must open the lotus ball. Throw and let the dog run to the ball. Or put out and use as a reward from a distance. Some dogs choose to open the ball themselves to get the treats, while others choose to fetch back to the owner to open the leaves together. Any way is good, as long as the dog is not too violent when it comes to taking out the goodness inside. At the bottom there is a small loop, in which you can attach any ribbon or string to develop the ball into a hunting toy. Also keep in mind that the lotus ball is not made for the doggy to chew on. SIZE AND COLOR When folded, the ball is approx. 9 x 8 cm. Unfolded, the ball is approximately 14 cm at its widest. Doggie-Zen reward ball comes in unsorted colors, so you can't choose the color of the toy.
