It's a fun toy that your dog can open himself to get to the treats inside. Most dogs like to play and chase - and here's the toy that gives the doggy just that. And as the icing on the cake, you can have a doggy who starts to appreciate treats as a reward.
Fårgotti from Swedish Jami Hundsport has an outside of Swedish sheepskin and then an inside of textile and is then reinforced with an edge band. The treat ball is a really good way to reward your dog. Great when you want to give your dog an external reward instead of it getting the treat directly from you.
The treat ball opens like a clam, but instead of a pearl you put in dog treats. Then you press the ball together using the Velcro straps and the treat toy is ready to use.
Jami Fårgotti 2.0 is a great tool to encourage dogs that don't fight and chase, to take a little extra. Maybe it's that little difference that makes the game and the reward so much more rewarding. A good way to get your dog to trigger even more on treats and toys as rewards can be to use a longer strap or expander band and let your dog chase after the toy. On the outside of the reward hide there is a small handle or perhaps rather a larger loop that you can attach a band to.
When your dog gets hold of Fårgotti, it has to work to open its body and get to the treat. You can make it easier or harder for your dog to open the treat hide by how tightly you tighten the Velcro straps.
