The candy hider from English Tug-E-Nuff is a popular toy. This is a really good reward for candy-motivated dogs. But it is also a good reward to use for the doggie who prefers to play, where you want to train an interest in treat rewards. The clam is great to use when you want to reward the dog from a distance. Either you place the ball on the spot and send the dog towards the reward or you throw the ball where you want to reward. Clam is a mussel and that describes this ball pretty well. It has two sides and a large opening in the middle. The soft ball is made of colorful fabric, which makes it highly visible against the lawn. The ball can be opened in the middle and that's where you can put the ball. Then close again with Velcro. Depending on how tight you tie the velcro straps together, you can control how easy it is for the dog to get to the treats. The Velcro straps fit so that your dog can open the clam by sticking his nose into the opening, and thus access the treat himself without you having to be nearby. The ball is small enough to be flexible, but at the same time large enough to be seen well. It also has a good weight so that you can throw it without the ball feeling too heavy and clumsy.
