Different dog harnesses for different dogs
A dog harness should be stable and give your dog freedom of movement. When choosing a harness for your dog, it's the use that matters: for everyday walks, an ergonomic Y-harness or a classic H-harness is often suitable. If your dog pulls easily, an anti-pull harness with a front attachment can help you steer your dog without jerking, and make it easier to reconnect with your dog when it turns back towards you. For puppies, there are puppy harnesses that are easy to adjust, and for pulling/canicross, there are harnesses that relieve the pressure better.
We have quite a few different colors and models, and we hope and believe that there is something for you and your pooch.
Which is the best dog harness?
That's a difficult question to answer. We think it's the taste and the use that determines which one is best for your dog. And of course, your dog's body shape. That's why we have so many to choose from! Always check the size guide on the model - the best dog harness is the one that fits your dog.DOG Copenhagen, Hurtta, Alac, Non-Stop and FinNero

What are Y-harnesses, H-harnesses, X-harnesses and D-harnesses?
Here you can see examples of two of the most common models of dog harnesses: Y-harness & H-harness. The categories are named after how the model looks from above, as you can clearly see in the pictures.
The Y-harness is popular for its ergonomic design, customizable fit and the ability to tighten the leash in different places as needed.
The H-harness has a longer back strap and the neck straps extend straight out from it.
In addition to Y-harnesses and H-harnesses, there are also X-, T- and D-harnesses, which are all adapted for different activities. So which one should you choose for your dog? Is there one model that's best? We think it's mostly a matter of taste - and the dog, of course! Because whatever the model and activity, choose one that fits your pooch well, so they can move freely. A good dog harness should be stable, without chafing and without restricting the arches. You can find size guides inside each product.
FAQ on dog harnesses
Which dog harness is best?
The best dog harness is the one that fits your dog and what you are doing. It should be stable, comfortable to wear and allow your dog to move freely.
How should a dog harness fit?
The harness shouldn't chafe and it shouldn't get caught in the armpits or restrict the arches. The dog should be able to step out properly in front. Check the size guide of the model you choose - there may be differences between harnesses.
Will an anti-pull harness help if the dog pulls on the leash?
An anti-pull harness with a front attachment can make steering easier and reduce jerking. It's a great everyday tool, but it works best with calm and consistent leash training.
What is the difference between Y-harness and H-harness?
The difference is in how the straps are built and how the harness sits on the dog. Y-harnesses often have a more "Y-shaped" back that can provide good freedom of movement, while H-harnesses have a different strap construction across the chest and back. Try it on for size and fit when your pup is on the move.
Which dog harness is right for a puppy?
Choose a lightweight, adjustable harness that is easy to put on and take off. And check the fit often as puppies grow quickly.
What should I consider when choosing a size?
Measure according to the product guide and use your dog's measurements, not just breed or weight. If you fall between two sizes, it's often better to go up, as long as the harness is still secure.
