Protector light socks are dog shoes that are both durable and at the same time quite soft. Just as the name suggests, they are related to the Protector bootie, but with the difference that these are light and simply softer.
Norwegian Non-Stop is the company for active dogs who want good stuff. These socks are great for fast-paced activities such as running, skiing and cycling, but they work just as well for hiking. If you are going to walk on sharp surfaces, then light socks can be good to wear on the doggie's paws.
Protector light socks have a knitted construction and are made with anti-cut material. The shoes are also breathable without compromising on durability. Even with dog socks on the paws, the dog gets good contact with the ground, which is important to make the trip comfortable for the doggy.
The dog shoe is completely seamless, which means that there is nothing that rubs on the doggy.
To make the shoe fit well on the paw, the dog shoe has an elastic Velcro strap at the top of the shaft. For short sessions, it is recommended that you tighten the sock just as tight. If, on the other hand, you are going on a longer trip of several hours, it may be better to tighten a little looser to avoid swelling. When it comes time for longer breaks, it may be wise to take off the socks.
In order not to tighten the buckle too tightly, a good rule is to put on the dog sock with room for one finger and then tighten the Velcro over the finger. Then it will usually be reasonably tight.
Dog socks wear out over time. A tip is therefore to regularly turn the underside upwards, to distribute the wear over the entire shoe.
The sock is available in six sizes and fits small paws of 3 cm all the way to large labs of 9 cm. Machine washable at a maximum of 30 degrees.

To get the right size, you need to measure the width of the paw. The easiest way to do this is to let the dog stand with its paw on a piece of paper. It is important that the dog has the weight on the paper. Draw the paw and you can now measure the width directly on the paper.
Keep in mind that the back paws are usually smaller than the front paws, so for that reason it may be good to measure all four paws. If the measurement falls between two sizes, it is recommended that you choose the larger size.
