Your dog needs to work with his nose and brain. And the 3-layer spinning dog puzzle is great for just that. Nina Ottosson strives to give dogs mental stimulation and these activation toys are appreciated by both doggies and their owners. Just Lickin' Layers consists of three floors that can be spun around. In order to get the treats, the dog needs to poke with either its nose or paw to make the floors spin. Available in two sizes; the original size that fits most sizes of dogs and then there is the smaller puppy Lickin' Layers. The function of these two is the same, the difference is the size and appearance. Puppy Lickin' Layers has a slightly more childish look, both in terms of color and pattern. Here the compartments have the appearance of dog bones, fish and paw prints. It's called puppy, but in addition to puppies, we think this model is also suitable for smaller dogs. The large model has over 100 compartments where you can hide treats, while the smaller puppy size has over 60 compartments. A total of 2.4 and 3.5 dl of dry food can be found in Lickin' layers. And because there are so many compartments, it's also great for use as a slow feeder bowl where you can serve the entire meal in the spinning tiers. Or why not fill with something tasty and freeze, perhaps mix dog food with water or yogurt. Then the dog has to lick to get in. It can be an activity that suits especially well when it's hot or when you want to get the doggy down, because licking works as a sedative. Nina Ottosson's activation game is divided into different difficulty classes, from 1 to 4. Just Lickin' layers is level 2 which is considered medium. The first few times, if the dog is above being made to work for treats, it may be wise to only put treats in the top or two top tiers. And as the dog learns how the spinning toy works, you can make it more difficult and put treats in the bottom floor as well. The puzzle has an anti-slip base, which means that it stands quite still on the floor, even if the doggy works a little more intensively to get the three floors to rotate. The spinning dog puzzle is made of non-toxic plastic. To clean, turn the game upside down and click off the tiers, then hand wash each piece.
