The purpose of lick food is to make eating more slowly and at the same time get the doggy to lick, which works soothingly. Use the mat for whole meals or as a casual snack. Here you can fill with dry food as well as something sticky or why not a mixture.
This particular lick mat has quite large and at the same time quite soft and flexible spikes. And it is between these spikes that the food gets stuck and the dog has to work with his tongue to get to the good stuff. The soft square bowl also has high edges, which reduces the risk of spillage outside.
