K9 DESIGN EGG BALL FOR DOG BALANCE BALL TRAINING
- The best seller for balance ball training
- Advanced training that is difficult for the dog
- Available in several different sizes
The egg ball is a balance ball but in a more oval shape. It is an effective way to train balance, coordination, body control and also self-confidence and cooperation. Few training tools are as complete as balance ball training. The egg ball is available in several different sizes to fit different large or small dogs. Its shape means that this is a balance ball with a fairly high degree of difficulty.
Balance ball training is an easy way to train the dog, you can train it at home in the living room. All that is needed is the ball, the dog and some treat. The egg ball from K9Design helps the dog and you to improve your communication and interaction while the dog builds muscle, torso strength, self-confidence and balance.
You can regulate the amount of air in the egg ball yourself. And the first time the ball is inflated, inflate up to 90% of the maximum size and let it stand for 24 hours. In this way, it expands properly. Then you can fill with more air. Also keep in mind that it is a very tough and demanding exercise to balance on an egg ball, so keep the exercise short. Because even though the exercise looks quite simple, there are many muscles that the dog needs to work with to maintain balance.
If your dog has been injured and you intend to use balance ball training in rehab, we recommend that the training takes place in consultation with a dog physiotherapist or other medically knowledgeable staff.

WHAT SIZE OF BALANCE BALL SHOULD THE DOG HAVE?
When you choose the size of the egg ball, think about choosing a size that the dog can stand on, without hunching its back like a shrimp. To choose the size, place the doggy on the floor and measure the distance between the front and back legs. This is how much space your dog needs. Keep in mind that the egg ball tilts at each end, and therefore you cannot count the entire length of the ball.
Small tip when choosing the size of the egg ball: if the distance between the front and back legs is less than 35 cm, the length of the ball should be 65 cm or longer. For a paw distance of 55 cm, a ball that is at least 85 cm long is suitable. And if your dog has a paw distance of just under 90 cm, a ball with a length of 125 cm is recommended.
