Practicing the balance ball with the dog is an effective and fun way to exercise while improving communication between you. It is by letting the dog stand on unstable surfaces that the doggy gets to exercise those small muscles while the dog needs to be concentrated and focused.
The duopaw ball is a high ball that is oblong with a waist. Its shape somewhat resembles a peanut or perhaps more like two halves of a ball that have then been pulled out.
Unlike, for example, the egg ball, the double ball only moves sideways, which makes the duo ball feel more stable and that also makes it easier to work with. The Duopaw ball is a high balance ball that is also quite wide, which gives the dog more surface to stand on. For these reasons, this can be a good ball for the pooch who doesn't have too much balance or isn't too strong.
Balance ball training in particular is a form of training that is easy to achieve. It does not need a lot of time to implement and almost no time to prepare. All you need is the dog, candy and the ball. Take the opportunity to exercise while dinner is cooking on the stove or when there are commercials on the TV.
You decide what the dog will do on the ball. There is almost an unlimited number of exercises. Stand with all four legs on the ball, lift one leg, ask the dog to vary between lying and sitting are examples of some tasks that the ball can be used for. However, remember to be careful so that you do not train for too long and make sure that the dog cannot fall off the ball.
The benefits of balance ball training are many; it improves both coordination, balance, core strength and body control. By working with proprioception, the dog will find its body and know where all the body parts are. Then add that exercise builds self-confidence and makes your relationship better.
When you inflate the ball for the first time, inflate to about 90% of the maximum size and leave the ball for 24 hours. Then you can top up with more air. No pump is included, but you have to buy it
separately.

Available in two different sizes:
Small: 70 cm high and 110 cm long.
Large: 80 cm high and 120 cm long.
Color: Green, pink or purple.
The double ball is made of a durable material, but it may still be a good idea to look over the doggy's claws before training so that the dog does not puncture the ball.
HANSESGÅRDEN RECOMMENDS
It's a lot harder than you think to balance, so keep the training short. Because even if the exercise looks quite simple, there are many muscles that the dog needs to work with in order to maintain balance.
If your dog has been injured and you intend to use balance ball training in the rehab, the training should take place in consultation with a dog physiotherapist or other medically knowledgeable staff.
