BALANCE DISK FOR THE DOG'S BALANCE BALL TRAINING

  • Beginner ball for balance ball training
  • All-round balance ball that also suits the balance ball expert
  • 30 or 40 cm
The most common starting product when it comes to balance training is the disc. Its size and shape make it relatively easy to get the dog onto the counter. Then there are basically any number of exercises you can do. Stand with the front legs on the disc, the back legs on, sit, lie down, stand. Give the dog a reward from different directions and heights so that the doggie can practice finding its balance without falling off. But don't think that the balance counter is only for beginners, no. We would say that the counter is an all-round counter that even more experienced balance ball dogs benefit greatly from. If you're going to invest in a single balance ball, we'll definitely vote for a counter. The disk can also be combined with other balance balls, perhaps a fitbone or an egg ball. Or why not use a pillow? One reason for the balance counter's success is that there are so many ways to use it. One side of the balance disk has a smooth surface while the other side has raised circles. Which side is best is a matter of taste and maybe variety is the winning concept? Training with balance balls gives the dog greater self-confidence, stronger muscles, improved body control and better balance. It is also a fun exercise that you can easily do at home on the kitchen floor. Another big advantage of balance ball training is that you and the dog get to build up your communication and interaction. The fairly flat balance board offers a stimulating and rewarding balance exercise that your dog will probably like. This seat cushion also works perfectly for us humans. By swinging in all directions, bipeds who need continuous movement but still remain in place can use the seat cushion. The air in the balance cushion can be regulated, the balance plate becomes a more difficult challenge for the dog if you fill it up with more air. Pump is not included, but can be purchased here. If you have good lungs, you can also inflate the ball with your mouth. SIZE AND COLOR Available in two sizes: diameter 30 cm (yellow or orange) and 40 cm (blue). The small balance disc can handle weight up to 150 kg, while the large handles up to 250 kg. HANSESGÅRDEN TIPS Keep in mind that there are an incredible number of muscles that the dog has to work with and even if the exercise looks simple, it demands a lot from the doggy both from the body and the bud. For that reason, we recommend shortening training sessions to just a few minutes. When rehabilitating injured dogs, we recommend that the dog be trained in consultation with a dog physiotherapist or other medically knowledgeable staff.
