BALANCE BALL TRAX PEANUT FROM FITPAWS

  • Peanut shaped balance ball
  • Available in three sizes
  • Pump is included
Here is the balance ball that offers a tough workout for your dog. In addition to the dog being able to train strength, balance and coordination, it is also a really tough mental task. Because it's not just standing on the ball, every second is a workout for the muscles. The peanut ball comes from American Fitpaws and is a popular all-activity ball for dog training. Through its shape as a double ball, it cannot roll like a regular ball, but peanut can only roll in two directions. It makes it easier for the dog to learn the technique behind balance ball training. The surface is ribbed which means that the dog also gets a good grip and that it does not slip down from the peanut. The exercises can be varied almost to infinity. Let the dog stand with only front legs or just hind legs or with all four paws. Pump included. COLOR AND SIZE Available in three sizes, each size has its own color. Height 40 cm and length about 81 cm. Color: yellow. Height 50 cm and length about 92 cm. Color: red. Height 60 cm and length about 111 cm. Color: petrol. HOW TO CHOSE SIZE What size your dog should have on the peanut depends a bit on how you intend to use the ball. For core training, when the dog's whole body is on the ball, Fitpaws recommends that you measure the distance between your dog's front and back paws when the doggy is normally on the ground. This is so that the dog can fit on the ball without having to bend its back. If you are unsure of size, it is recommended that you choose the larger balance ball. It is possible to use a large ball on a small dog, but not in the other direction. By having a larger peanut for a smaller dog, the training surface becomes larger, which can be an advantage as it becomes easier for the dog. Choose ball size based on the distance between front and back paws. <51 cm: ball in sizes 40, 50 and 60 cm fits. 51-61 cm: 50 and 60 cm. 61-65 cm: 60 cm. If you intend to use the balance ball where the dog is standing partly on the ground and partly on the peanut, then it may be a good idea to go for the dog's mane height when choosing the ball size. Dog's height at the withers and suitable ball size: 40-49 cm - choose ball size 40 cm 50-58 cm - choose ball size 50 cm 59-68 cm - choose ball size 60 cm A recommendation from the Fitppaws is that you let the ball rest for 24 hours after the ball has been inflated for the first time. This is so that the material has time to get used to the air and be able to stretch out. When a day has passed, you can if necessary blow in more air. HANSESGÅRDEN TIPS Keep in mind that there are a lot of muscles that the dog can work with, and even if the exercise looks simple, it requires a lot of the dog's body and bud. We therefore recommend short training sessions. When rehabilitating injured dogs, we advise that the dog is trained in consultation with a dog physiotherapist or other medically knowledgeable staff.
