WHAT ARE THE INSECTS IN YORA?
Yora contains Hermetia illucens, the insect larva known in Swedish as the black soldier fly. These fly larvae are packed with benefits such as protein, fat, minerals and immune-boosting antioxidants.
The larvae feed on fruit and vegetable waste from the food industry, which contributes to reduced waste. They are some of nature's primary decomposers and help us humans by processing our food waste. And when the larvae have finished eating, the remains have become natural compost that can be used to grow more food. Insect larvae grow very quickly and do not create any harmful waste, which makes its environmental impact very small.
The production of insect larvae requires minimal water, land area and feed and they produce almost no greenhouse gases, which makes its environmental impact significantly lower. See image three, which shows a comparison between Yora and traditional dog food.
Yora does not contain growth hormones or antibiotics. The larvae used for Yora dog food grow quickly and naturally and therefore do not need growth hormones and they rarely suffer from any diseases that need to be treated. Because the larvae are a non-traditional source of protein for dogs, many allergic dogs can eat Yora.
In addition to insect larvae, Yora also contains oats and potatoes, prebiotics, blueberries and plant products, which gives a tasty food ball that tastes as good as it looks.
SIZE
Yora superfood All breed is available in three different sizes: 1.5 kg, 6 kg and 12 kg.
The triangular pieces of food are approximately 15 mm long.
The dog food is for adult dogs (over 12 months).
