Glufs mussel powder is a food supplement that consists of blue mussels and nothing more. Blue mussels contain natural glucosamine, amino acids and minerals and plenty of the Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, which can only be used to prevent joint diseases. Glucosamine can reduce inflammation in joints and relieve stiffness and pain, which in turn can improve the dog's mobility and also quality of life.
In Orust, Sweden, blue mussels are fished and the mussels that are too small to be human food end up at Glufs instead and are then given to dogs. Another advantage of giving your dog a supplement of blue mussels is also just to avoid long transports as both the fishing and the production take place on the Swedish west coast.
The mussel powder can either be given as a cure for two months or as a preventative measure, but then you don't need to give it as regularly. Sprinkle the powder over your dog's food.
The dietary supplement is suitable for both active dogs and older pooches. You can also give the supplement to your cat. Should not be given to animals younger than one year.
