Almost one in ten people in Sweden has dog allergies. But many more are affected because an allergic family member can make it difficult to have a dog in the family.

In studies at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm on 21 different dogs that were washed 53 times, an average of 85% of the allergen disappeared and in some cases more than 97%.
