ABOUT SPECIAL SEARCH
Just recently, the Swedish Working Dog Club (Svenska brukshundklubben) launched Special Search as an official dog sport. Specialsök, as it's called in Swedish, is a collective name for jobs where the dog must both search for and mark different scents, it can be anything from bed bugs, truffles and eucalyptus to drugs, people and mold. But in the competition special search at SBK, Kong is therefore used.
The idea behind using the red king in particular is that it has already been the most common subject in training in service dog operations and with the armed forces. And Kong classic is also used internationally for special searches.
As Specialsök kong is an official test form, it is possible to qualify the dog in the sport. But even if you're not looking for the doggie to get titles and just want a fun activation moment, then Kong hunting might be for you.
Many have the habit of cutting the red toy to get smaller sizes, but that is no longer necessary. Namely, here are bags with pieces of varied appearance.
