Do you train nosework or special search with your dog? Then you need a container to hide the scent. Here is our largest scent carrier, it is almost 7 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm high.
A larger scent hider fulfills several functions and can be a good complement to smaller containers. The advantage of having a large scent carrier is that it is more visible, which can be good when you want to do the scent work without facing the dog being too difficult to find visually for the handler.
Another advantage of the larger size is that the container is easier to place and pick up, especially outdoors or if you train a lot. The aluminum can can be placed in larger environments, behind objects or high up where a smaller container may be more difficult to attach or find again.
In addition, it can be useful to have variety in training. The dog will encounter many different types of scent hiding places during training and in everyday life. By varying the size, material and design, the dog becomes more confident in searching for the scent, not for a certain type of container.
Because the container is made of aluminum, it is also easy to clean. The scent holder has a screw cap that is easy for you to open, while at the same time the scent inside is protected from the dog.
This large scent hiding place is just as suitable for Kong searches as for nosework searches. The holders have several holes in the lid, which allows the scent to spread.
A flat but fairly large magnet is included that you stick to the back of the container.
