Dummy retrieving is usually something that retriever or spaniel breeds do. But probably this is an activation that many other dogs would also appreciate. So why not try? Maybe you have a doggie who would really enjoy being directed to a laid out item to retrieve and leave for you.
From Swedish Bistos comes the dummies, which are available in three different sizes and several colors.
Which color you should choose can be a matter of taste. Some want brilliant colors to make it stand out better in the terrain, and others want more discreet colors that blend in with their surroundings. But if you use several dummies at the same time, it might be an idea to have different colors. That way, you know which one the dog picked up; whether it is far away or near.
And then there was the matter of size. What weight should the dummy have? It is also different. Partly depending on the size of the dog. But also how and when you intend to use it. A small dummy has the advantage that it is easier to carry with you and fits in a large jacket pocket.
The dummy has an eyelet with a short string and a small wooden handle, throwing stick, which provides a good grip when throwing the dummies out. Another great thing about this dummy is that it floats, so you can use it for fetch training in the water.
Bisto's dummies are made of durable awning fabric. And inside an inner bag are rubber granules.
