Trains coordination and balance and strength and body control and mobility and cooperation. No wonder balance ball training is such a popular form of exercise. And it's fun too!
The balance balls are sometimes also called activation stones, although we have never seen stones that look like this. That is why we have chosen to call it half balls or stud balls.
Exercising with a balance ball strengthens the dog and allows the doggy to work with large parts of the body with small movements. Exercise the dog with front paws on balls to strengthen the dog's toes and wrists.
These half balls with sensory spikes stimulate the nerves in the dog's paws and toes. Another advantage of these particular balls is that they have a slightly rounded underside, while at the same time they are quite soft and fail due to the doggy's weight. This means that the hemispheres become more unstable and that not only paws and toes but also the whole legs have to work.
Spike dome, which is the English name for the spiked balls, comes in a pack of two.
Training with a half ball is something that is also useful for humans. So why not try using the balls for your own training. Try planking on a half ball or maybe doing push-ups on the balls?
The spiked balls are delivered inflated and ready to use immediately. But if you want, you can pump in more air. Pump is not included, but is purchased
separately.

Although it doesn't look like it's hard to do balance ball exercises, it is. Even the simplest exercise can be tough for the dog. For that reason, our tip is that you keep the training sessions short.
If you are going to rehab an injured dog, we recommend that the dog be trained in consultation with a canine physiotherapist or other medically knowledgeable staff.
