LARGE BALANCE BALL FOR DOG TRAINING
- High balance ball
- Train proprioception and strength
- Length 115 cm
It is almost as much fun as it is hard to train on a balance ball. In addition to being a form of exercise that builds body control, strength and balance, balance ball training can also build self-confidence, cooperation and communication.
There are many different types of balance balls, some are higher and others lower. This particular double ball looks like a large and high ball with a waist. With a little imagination, you can say that the shape resembles two halves of a ball that has been pulled out in the middle.
When the dog stands on the unstable surface, it needs to concentrate and constantly parry with small muscles to not fall off. This is also the reason why the dog gets tired so quickly from balance ball training.
The double ball can only move sideways, back and forth, which makes the balance ball more stable and easier to work with compared to, for example, an egg ball. The double ball is also quite wide, which gives the dog a larger surface to be on. This makes the blue balance ball particularly suitable for the slightly weaker dog or the doggy that does not have very good balance.
Keep in mind that the dog should be able to stand straight on the double ball without bending its back. To be sure that the ball is not too small, it is recommended that you place the doggy on the floor and measure the distance between the front and hind legs. This blue double ball is suitable for dogs that have a distance between the front and hind legs of a maximum of 65 cm.
It is quite easy to get a session of physical training on a balance ball. All you need is a balance ball, treats and of course the dog. Another advantage of the training method is that it does not require much preparation and does not take very long to complete. Why not take the opportunity to train your dog while there is an advertisement on TV or the potatoes are boiling.
Here are some tips for exercises that you can do on the double ball. Let the dog stand with all four legs, vary the position between sitting/lying/standing. Lift one leg or maybe two legs. To ensure that the ball does not fly away and the dog falls down the hill, it is recommended that you hold the balance ball.
The first time you inflate the duo ball, inflate it to approximately 90% of its maximum size and then let the ball sit for a day. Then fill it with more air. There is no pump included, but you need to buy it
separately.
SIZE AND COLOR
The double ball is 70 cm high and 115 cm long.
Color: blue.
The double ball is made of a durable material, but it may still be wise to watch over your dog's claws so that the dog does not puncture the ball.
HANSESGÅRDEN RECOMMENDS
Do you think that balance ball training looks easy? It is not. It is actually much harder than you think to balance, so our recommendation is that you keep the training short. Even what looks like simple exercises require a lot from the dog.
If your dog has been injured and you intend to use balance ball training in rehabilitation, the training should be done in consultation with a dog physiotherapist or other medically knowledgeable personnel.
