This dog bone is quite similar to the regular nut roll from Njord Pet. But with one big and important difference. This bone is made of a slightly thicker skin and the cow hair is also rolled on the outside. No wonder dogs goes banana over this chew bone!
Njord Pet is a Swedish company based in Bålsta, Stockholm. This is Swedish raw materials without additives or chemicals. In this chewing bone there is only skin.
The cowhide is air-dried at a low temperature, which means that the flavor is better retained. The skin is then rolled into a finished chew bone that is ready to be given directly to the doggy. By using the whole skin, including the grain skin, the nut roll stains less than traditional dog bones. The thick skin also means that the chew roll lasts quite a long time.
This very thing with keeping the fur and also rolling the hair outwards, is a unique thing that may only be found on products from Njord Pet. Since each chew bone is made by hand and no two cowhides are the same, thickness, appearance and length may vary slightly.
