The Swedish company POW has focused on palatability and single protein when they developed this pâté. And it seems like they have succeeded. The pâté from POW is completely free of chicken. This is perhaps not surprising since it is single protein. Which means that there is only protein from one source. And since the flavors are lamb or pork, there is only lamb or pork as protein. This in itself can be good for dogs who need a more gentle diet. Lamb is a source of protein that is both nutritious and tasty, which means that it often works really well for dogs with food intolerances. Pork is easily digestible, which means that dog food with pork is suitable for dogs with sensitive stomachs. The pâté does not contain any artificial colours, preservatives or flavour enhancers. However, it does contain prebiotics in the form of FOS and MOS, which work for a more healthy intestinal flora, as well as fish oil which contains omega-3 fatty acids. The wet food is suitable for both large and small dogs, but since the package only contains 150 grams, one pâté probably won't last very long. On the other hand, you can either mix it with other food or use it as a spice for your dog's regular dry food. Or you can buy several packages. The practical packaging makes it easy to take just the right amount with you when you're out on a trip. And the package size also makes it easy to always have wet food fresh. Unopened packaging should be stored dry at room temperature. An opened package should be stored in the fridge and should be used within two days. All ingredients come from the EU, except for lamb which comes from New Zealand.
