From Flexiness comes this balance beam that lies more still than a fitbone, but moves more than a fixed plate. It may not look that difficult, but standing on a surface that is not completely stable requires both concentration and strength. Then add some exercises while the doggy stands and balances, and it becomes even more difficult.
The Flexiness stackingbar can be advantageously used together with other types of balance balls, a disc or paw pod or fitbone. Why not use the bar for two paws while the other two paws are to be moved laterally between different types of balance balls?
Training the dog with balance balls of various kinds is a really good way to activate both body and bud. The dog gets to practice body control, coordination, core stability and exercises both small and large muscles. Last but certainly not least, it is a form of training that builds the relationship between you and the doggy.
Stacking bar can also be used as a target when you want to train locked paws in obedience. But by using the bar, the dog gets to exercise those tiny muscles, tendons and ligaments that are so important to train. The plate is also good for teaching the dog to back up, as some doggies find it easier when the dog feels some deviating material instead of just backing up on the ground.
The reasonably narrow and reasonably long balance beam has two different surfaces; partly one quite smooth and partly one with spikes. The gnarled surface with the spikes stimulates the nervous system and thus provides a little extra exercise. Another advantage of this plate is precisely that it is not so high, and that the dog is therefore not so high above the ground.
If you have a small dog, then it can probably stand with all four paws on the plate and if your doggie is a medium-sized model and above, it will fit with two paws.
The balance plate is ready to use immediately, but if you want to fill up or release air, a pump is needed. Pump is not included, but must be purchased separately.
