From the Netherlands comes Bugbone, the soft dog bone made from insect protein. Good for the dog and great for the planet.
Insect protein leaves a lower environmental footprint compared to chicken and cattle. Partly because insects require less land area and amount of water, but also because insects produce less carbon dioxide.
But that's not enough. The dog treat is also hypoallergenic, which means that many allergic dogs and doggies with sensitive stomachs can eat Bugbone.
The dog bone is also tasty. In fact, the dog biscuit is so popular that it quickly runs out. And that is precisely why it is lucky that a package contains six bones.
The treat bone, which smells good of cinnamon, is low in calories with only 157 kcal per 100 g and contains no additives.
SIZE
Available in two different sizes:
medium with 6 bone of 30 grams. Dimensions approx. 10 x 4 cm.
large with 6 bone of 45 grams. Dimensions approx. 12 x 5 cm.
The Bugbone are about 1.5 cm thick.
