The task of a lick mat is to give the dog a pleasurable long time. Thanks to the fact that its bottom is uneven with small spikes, the doggy cannot just throw in the goodies, but has to lick again and again to get everything up.
Unlike many other lickmats on the market, this one has a unique function. It can be screwed onto the grid of a cage. It can be a perfect distraction when you go by car. Or other times when the doggy is in a cage and you want it to relax.
The lick mat is made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR), its underside is hard and the inside with spikes is a little softer. The carpet can of course also be used on the floor for those of you who want the dog to have food enrichment indoors.
What you choose to put on the lick mat is of course completely up to you and the doggy, but a tip is not to use too loose a runny litter if the mat is to be attached to a cage.
We're guessing that the dog will be happy for liver pate and peanut butter as well as for fresh food and mashed banana. And no matter what you broke out on lick food, you're going to have to lick and work your tongue over the surface to get all the goodies.
