An easy and fun way to train with the dog is to use a clicker. The clicker is a small box that emits a click sound every time you press it. With a clicker, you can easily and effectively reward the dog just when it does the right behavior. With a more complicated word, the training form is called shaping. The training method shaping is based on the dog's own initiative and rewards and provides a quick and effective learning.
When your dog learns how clicker training works, that one click means "soon comes candy", then it will probably try its hand at what gives the click sound / reward. Is it enough to watch math? If not, perhaps the dog will try to lift a paw? Or lying down? With the help of a clicker and with patience you will be able to teach your dog anything! It's just the imagination that sets the limit. How about teaching the dog to back up for a staircase? Touch your ring finger? Bowing with the front legs? But a clicker is not just for trix training, it works just as well at everyday obedience, foot learning, or perhaps at a specific moment of agility training.
And once you start the click training, you will realize that it is almost always the right place to click, which means that you need to have several clickers to have them close at hand. To have the clicker easily accessible, our clickers have a wristband.
